Squads Abroad provides HOSA members accessible opportunities to develop real-world health experience while building valuable cultural competency skills that build stronger global citizens.

Guided by Squads Abroad’s experienced local team of health professionals, HOSA members are invited to participate in a Global Health Squads to provide medical access to children in under resourced communities abroad while building water/sanitation infrastructure in schools to prevent disease. The home-base model provides safe and private accommodations for HOSA members to enjoy healthy authentic meals, relax after a meaningful day of volunteering, and reflect with your club on all the amazing experiences you’ve shared.

Squads are passionate groups of volunteers who mobilize abroad to create positive change. Each Squad type has a skill-based focus area that support the education, health and economic development objectives of community partners. Faculty choose their dates, duration (typically 1-2 weeks), and their site location from one of our six program countries.
